An innovative company set up by Transition Year students at Loreto Letterkenny has got the ‘chic-factor’. Chic Survival is the brain-child of three passionate teenagers, namely, Sophie Burke, Aoife McNally and Emma Tracy.
The idea was born after an intensive brainstorming and research period, where the team members looked at what their target market would be attracted to and would buy.
With an original idea comes a unique bag that can only be bought through Chic Survival. Sourced from Singapore the bags are the perfect size and come with everything you need. Packaged inside a Chic Survival bag is mini deodorant, hair bobbles, hair slides, a comb, Vaseline, sanitary pad, tampon, nail file and plasters.
Managing Director Sophie Burke says: “We believe Chic Survival will be successful and very profitable as it is completely original. To come up with the idea of Chic Survival we thought about problems facing girls and one of the main ones was the amount of stuff girls have in their handbag. Therefore we came up with a solution, an essential survival kit for girls. From this idea Chic Survival was born. It is a completely new, original idea with no competitors on the market at the moment. We knew this would work in our favour.”
Chic Survival is a teenage brand, a term that resonates with modern young women. The product serves females in their day-to-day routine. It appeals to your feminine side. The company will now compete at the county finals of Young Enterprise of the Year Awards organized by Donegal County Enterprise Board. Pre-sales orders are now being taken via their facebook page and twitter account or by e-mailing email@example.com
