One of Donegal’s most high profile footballers has thrown in his unquestioned deft skills to highlight the plight of the large numbers of animals that are either intentionally abandoned or lost and left to fend for themselves in a very poor condition.

Donegal Town man and All - Star Karl Lacey has just been named as the new Patron for Animals in Need and last weekend met with the committee members in Donegal and indeed some of his new canine friends.

The animal rescue charity, Animals In Need are delighted that Karl has come on board as their new Patron which they feel will highlight their cause to a much wider audience.
