The PSNI in Fermanagh have issued a security alert following a report of a suspicious object in the Belleek area.

The PSNI in Fermanagh have issued a security alert following a report of a suspicious object in the Belleek area.

Police received a telephone warning last night at around 11pm and are asking residents of the Boa Island Road area to contact police immediately if they observe any suspicious items or anything that looks out of place.

A police spokesperson warned: “Do not approach or touch anything but phone police immediately on 0845 600 8000 or 999 from Northern Ireland or 04890 650222 from the Republic.”

The spokesperson said that gardaí are assisting the PSNI with their investigation.
