Glenswilly armed robbery - gardaí make appeal

Gardaí are appealing for the public to assist them with their investigation into an armed robbery at a service station in Breenagh, Glenswilly, at the weekend.

Gardaí are appealing for the public to assist them with their investigation into an armed robbery at a service station in Breenagh, Glenswilly, at the weekend.

Two men, armed with a knife and a baseball bat, and who were both wearing balaclavas, threatened staff at McFadden’s Service Station shortly before ten o’clock on Friday night.

The raiders made off with a small amount of cash and a quantity of cigarettes before fleeing the scene in a blue Rover car which was driven by a third man.

The vehicle was later found burnt out.
