Gardai have launched a murder inquiry following the death of a Churchill pensioner at the weekend.
67-year-old Seamus Doherty died in his home in Drumacnoo, Churchill last Sunday.
Emergency services and Gardai were called to the scene at 1.50am where Mr. Doherty’s body was discovered in a bathroom.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The case was upgraded to a murder investigation when the post mortem revealed he died in suspicious circumstances.
An incident room has now been set up at Lettekenny Garda Station.
