Paul Greatbanks, with an address at Maghaberry Prison, appeared at a preliminary enquiry.

The 47 year old was charged with the murder of Patrick Harkin and the attempted murder of Letterkenny musician, Paul Mythen, from Leckview Cottages on February 20th last year at Bayview Terrace, Derry.

Greatbanks said he did not wish to call any witnesses or make any statement at this time.

He was returned for trial to appear at Laganside Court in Belfast on June 22.
