Investigations continue into the deaths of more than 30 swans near Dunfanaghy last weekend.

33 birds were found dead at “New Lake”. Bird flu and poisoning are being looked at as possible causes. Water samples have been taken from the lake.

Meanwhile, this evening a dead swan was recovered from a lake at Mullaghduff by National Parks and Wildlife Rangers.

Members of the public who may discover dead birds are being asked to contact the National Parks and Wildlife service in the first instance.
