The man who died in a collision at Barnesmore Gap was 75 year-old Colman Tourish from St Anne’s House, Lifford.

The man who died in a collision at Barnesmore Gap was 75 year-old Colman Tourish from St Anne’s House, Lifford.

The car he was driving was in collision with a camper van at around 3.40pm at Ardnawark, Barnesmore.

He was taken by ambulance to Letterkenny General Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

His female passenger, who was seriously injured, was also taken to LGH.

A Wicklow couple, who were travelling in the camper van, were brought to Sligo Regional Hospital. It’s understood the woman has sustained a leg injury.

Removal of deceased’s remains this evening at 6.30pm from Quigley’s Funeral Home, Strabane to his home. Funeral leaving his home on Thursday at 10.20am for Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Murlog, at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
