Man dies after two car crash in Ballybofey
Gardai in are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the outskirts of Ballybofey in the early hours of this morning (Monday, June 24).

Gardai in are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the outskirts of Ballybofey in the early hours of this morning (Monday, June 24).

The collision involving two cars on the Ballybofey to Glenfin Road occurred between 3.30am and 3.45am.

There was one female drive, aged in her early forties, in one car and four people, female and three males, agedin their twenties to their forties, in the second car.

They were all taken to Letterkenny General Hospital where one of the males, aged in his twenties, was later pronounced dead. The other people involved in the collision are being treated for injuries that are described as being “non life-threatening”.

The road is closed for a forensic collision examination and diversions are in place.

Witnesses to the collision or anyone who was on the Ballybofey to Glenfin Rd between 3.20am and 3.45am are asked to contact Ballybofey on 074 913 7740, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
