Senator Jimmy Harte has welcomed the reduction in live register figures in Donegal with only Dungloe bucking the trend with an increase of 4.

He commented: “The figures were released by the CSO on Wednesday and show that there is almost 10% decrease locally in Donegal . While the overall figure is still too high, it is clear the number of people signing on locally is in gradual decline and this is a move in the right direction. This is good news for people locally here in Donegal.”

Figure on the left are for September 2012, and on the right for September 2013.
