Students and staff of Coláiste Ailigh in Letterkenny will walk from their High Road location to their new school at Carnamuggagh tomorrow.

Students and staff of Coláiste Ailigh in Letterkenny will walk from their High Road location to their new school at Carnamuggagh tomorrow.

Students will turn up as usual to Spackburn House for their first two classes and then attend a school assembly before all students and staff walk together to the new school.

“The forecast looks good at the minute, so we’re optimistic we will be able to march up to the school,” Principal Mícheál Ó Giobúin said.

Coláiste students will get a tour of the new building and attend classes as normal tomorrow afternoon. Senior students have been trained to serve as mentors for younger students. ”Everything is being done to make sure the changeover will be as smooth as possible for everyone concerned,” the principal said.

The school opened at Spackburn House in 2000 with 25 students. “We’re growing every year,” he said.
