Gardaí are appealing for information following reports of two ‘suspicious approaches’ being made to children in Inishowen this week.
Supt. Andy Archibold told the Democrat: “We are investigating two incidents, which may or may not be related.
“At around 3.30-5pm on Monday in Bridgend, a single male in a small, silver/grey car is reported to have approached children in Bridgend.
“Later on Monday, at around 7pm, a single male, again in a small, silver/grey car, is reported to have approached children in Mulberry Avenue, Bundrana.”
He said gardai “don’t want to alarm anyone unduly” as such instances are very rare.
However, he is asking anyone in those areas at those times, or who thinks they may have information, to contact gardaí, either at Buncrana Garda Station, tel 074 932 0540 or on the Garda Confidential Line, 1800666111.
