Breaking News: Man arrested in relation to Belleek road death
A man has been arrested and is being questioned tonight at Ballyshannon Garda Station in relation to a fatal accident near Belleek, Co Fermanagh in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A man has been arrested and is being questioned tonight at Ballyshannon Garda Station in relation to a fatal accident near Belleek, Co Fermanagh in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A car found close to where the man was arrested has been held for forensic examination by garda experts.

The man was arrested in Pettigo by members of the Ballyshannon Detective Unit this afternoon in relation to the accident at Tullychurry, Leggs, where a man in his 50s was struck by a car which did not stop.

The fatal accident occurred circa 2.50am.

The PSNI issued an appeal for information on the whereabouts of a blue Ford Focus car earlier today.

The man who died has not been officially named but is said to be in his 50s and from the area where the fatality occurred.
