The 18-year-old ‘s car left the road and collided with a parked lorry before hitting a tree on September 8 and he had been in a coma since.

Conor’s parents Hugh and Sheila had been at his bedside since the tragedy.

A keen Gaelic footballer with his local club Naomh Muire, Boyle also boxed for Rosses and Donegal. In Mullaghduff in October 2010, he was on a card along with his four brothers James, Conor, Dara and Eoin.

“On behalf of the Donegal County Boxing Board and the affiliated clubs we would like to offer our condolences to the Boyle,” said PRO Peter O’Donnell.

“Conor was a fine boxer, as are his four brothers. It’s unusual in this day and age to have five brothers boxing together on

the one card but they did it in Mullaghaduff. Our thoughts are with the with family and parents Hugh and Shiela at the difficult time.”
