Bundoran will not have Community Games events this year, unless more volunteers come forward.
This was the stark message from local organisers, after two attemps to hold an AGM were abandoned because of the exceptionally low turnout.
More than 7,000 children took part in over 50 events at last year’s Community Games in Athlone.
“Bundoran has a proud tradition in the Community Games”, spokesperson John McEniff told the Democrat. “It would be such a pity if this important event,
which brings people together in a great way, did not go ahead. This nearly happened once before but when we put out an appeal, we were delighted at the number of people who came forward,”
