The wife of Formula One legend, Michael Schumacher, has written to a Donegal fan thanking her for her concern in relation to her husband. Schumacher has been in a coma since his December 29 ski accident, when he badly injured his head, causing serious swelling of the brain.

In January, Louise Dillon from outside Newtowncunningham penned a letter to the legend having been a huge fan for many years and having travelled the globe to watch the legend race.

Much to her delight, yesterday morning, she received a letter from Corinna Schumacher.

It was posted from Switzerland.

The letter read: “We know, he’s a fighter and he’s not giving up.”

Corinna also noted that Laura had kindly sent gifts from Knock in the letter. It was being speculated yesterday that Michael Schumacher had contracted a lung infection while in a medically-induced coma in France.
