At the launch of the new Justice and Peace Group in the Diocese of Raphoe are seated Jim Farrell, Bishop Philip Boyce and Catherine Lyster.
Back from left are Fr. Oliver McCrossan, Fr. Martin McCollum, Domhnall MacCionnaith, Fr. John Joe Duffy and Rev. Stewart Wright.
The new group was launched in Letterkenny last week as part of World Day of Social Justice.
The Justice and Peace Group aims to highlight issues of social injustice at home and abroad.
It has chosen to support Trócaire’s UpToUs Campaign which calls on us to take action for a more just, equal and sustainable world.
The campaign asks people to rethink the way we consume the earth’s precious resources and also calls on the Irish government to adopt strong legislation in relation to climate change which is having a devastating effect on communities in developing countries.
