A coffee morning in aid of Temple Street Children’s Hospital will be held in the home of Sharon Burns in Carrick McGarvey this Friday, March 21.
The Temple Street hospital is one that many parents in the North West depend on and Sharon and her husband Barry Brown are hoping that they will be able to donate some money to the hospital as a mark of gratitude for the help that they have received from them over the years.
Professor Michael O’Keefe, the consultant ophthalmic surgeon has been canvassing parents in hopes to raise funds for an eye prosthesis department at the hospital.
The department would facilitate children from across the county and country.
“We would like to give something back to the hospital. Professor O’Keefe and Sister Lannigan have been so good to us over the years.
“Pobailscoil Ghaoth Dobhair was very good, as well, in that they organised a ‘no uniform day’ to help us raise funds,” she said.
The coffee morning will take place from 9am to 6pm in Carrick McGarvey and all are welcome to attend.
