Preparations on Sunday morning in Grange resembled a party political machine as posters rolled off the printing press only to be grabbed by the many volunteers and put up in strategic locations.
Had a new candidate declared for the Local or European elections - No, but more importantly for this village a few miles from the Donegal border, a local hero was coming home and bringing one of the UK’s top stars with her.
Hundreds gathered to welcome Laura May Lenehan and her mentor Jamelia at Barry’s pub in the village - pouring pints, numerous selfies and signing autographs - hopefully there will be a lot more of this to come for Laura May.
Barry’s Pub has been the headquarters of this whole campaign for Laura May on the Voice and every Sunday evening it has been standing room only as the Grange girl sings her way to the top. Without a doubt next Sunday if you are not going to the Helix in Dublin then Barry’s will be the place to be.
Don’t to forget to have the phone topped up with credit - Laura May is asking for your help just one more time.
