A 28-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving causing the death of two men in a road traffic accident last year.

A 28-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving causing the death of two men in a road traffic accident last year.

Noel Carr, of Glenkeeragh, New Mills, has been charged with causing the deaths of Sean Graham and Matthew Crawford at Aghavannan Far, Kinneger, Kintale, Rathmullan on August 3rd, 2013.

Garda Enda Jennings told Letterkenny District Court that when he charged Mr Carr at 9.48am on Tuesday he made no reply. Inspector Goretti Sheridan said the Director of Public Prosecutions directed trial on indictment.

Mr. Carr was granted bail to appear again before the court on May 19th. Under bail conditions he must sign on once a week at Letterkenny Garda Station and surrender his passport. Solicitor Patrick Gallagher said further charges will be added. Judge Denis McLoughlin adjourned the case until May 19th for presentation of the book of evidence.
