Flash flooding risk as Code Orange warning issued
Following heavy rain yesterday and last night, Met Éireann have issued a further weather warning for today.

Following heavy rain yesterday and last night, Met Éireann have issued a further weather warning for today.

A status orange weather alert remains in place across the country.

They issued the thunderstorm warning across the country adding that downpours are likely and may lead to spot flooding in some areas.

Met Éireann’s spokesman stated: “There could be intense downpours locally, with spot flooding and it will be widespread.”

It is expected the showers will start to die out later this evening.
