Brendan O’Boyle of St Cummins Hill, Killybegs couldn’t explain why he bit Paul O’Donnell during a scuffle at the Abbey Hotel on July 19 last. H

e “had a lot of drink taken” and apologised.

Judge Kevin Kilrane said the apology should have come sooner and there was “a degree of lack of remorse”.

The former fish factory worker delayed travelling to Australia to meet the court case.
