Maxi Curran's Donegal tenure has ended after six years in charge

Maxi Curran has resigned as manager of Donegal, following on from his side’s 3-12 to 0-6 defeat to Dublin in the quarter-final of the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship on Sunday.

Curran was six years with the senior panel and guided to team to Ulster Senior Championship crowns in 2018, 2019 and this season. In that timeframe Donegal reached two All-Ireland semi-finals, losing out to Cork in 2018 and then Meath last year.

“It is with regret that Donegal LGFA County Board announces that Maxi Curran has stepped away from his role as Donegal Senior Ladies manager,” read an official statement from the Donegal LGFA.

“We would like to thank Maxi for his time, commitment, and dedication to Donegal Ladies Football over the past six years and wish him well in the future.”
