The Donegal Sports Star committee is continuing to accept nominations for the 2025 Awards, with the closing date approaching at the end of the month.
Friday, November 28, is the final day that nominations will be accepted, and Chairperson of the Donegal Sports Star Awards committee, Grace Boyle, is asking sporting bodies across Donegal to use this opportunity to acknowledge the successes of teams and/or individuals at local, provincial, national and international level.
“It will be the 50th Donegal Sports Star Awards and the Committees over years have recognised many teams and individuals all across the County who have excelled at different levels.
“As well as success we also take into account outstanding participation in sport as well as acknowledging women and men who have been engaged in long term volunteerism and dedication to a club or sporting body.
“That is what our Appreciation category is for so our Committee is encouraging nominations for this very special category from right across Donegal.
“We also have our Hall of Fame, which has been there from the very start in 1976. Nominations are not being sought for the Hall of Fame and the person who will become the 50th inductee is a reserved function for the committee,” Ms Boyle concluded.
