The winner of the 2025 Cycling Award  is Jamie Meehan, Mountcharles

Jamie enjoyed a breakthrough 2025 season. At the Rás Tailteann in May, Jamie produced a remarkable performance to finish second overall, claiming the Overall Young Rider Award and battling to the very final day in a determined bid for victory.

He carried that momentum onto the international stage, delivering a series of impressive performances in France less than a month later, including a stage podium at the Alpes Isère Tour, where he finished second on a demanding mountain stage and climbed to 12th overall with a top-three finish in the mountains classification.

Jamie then went on to claim the National Under-23 Road Race title, while also finishing second in the elite race, and securing a stage podium at the Tour de l’Ain and finishing 14th overall. This is Jamie’s second Donegal Sports Star Award.
