Naomh Muire, Lower Rosses turned in another champagne performance as they chalked up a big win over St Mary’s, Convoy at The Banks on Sunday afternoon.
Joey Gillespie, Cathal Fee, and Paul ‘Yank’ Boyle scored the goals for the Danny O’Donnell-managed side on a day when the men from the Lower Rosses had ten different scorers.
Gillespie, Fee, and Boyle also raised white flags and were joined on the scoresheet by Harry Harden, Daniel Devlin, Jack O’Donnell, Fintan Doherty, Patrick Gillespie, Shaun Burns, and Eoin Martin.
The locals signalled their intent from very early and had the two league points in the bag by the halfway mark, leading 2-10 to 0-3 at the break.
Bryan McNamee scored St Mary’s goal, while Oran Patterson, John Doherty, Pauric Gordon, and Anthony Browne chipped in with points.
The win means Naomh Muire are second in the Division Two League table with 11 points, one adrift of Aodh Ruadh who have played one more game.
