Michael Murphy and Patrick McBrearty with the Anglo Celt Cup
Michael Murphy has been shortlisted for GAA.ie’s Footballer of the Week following his standout performance in Donegal’s dramatic Ulster final win over Armagh.
The Glenswilly star delivered a man-of-the-match display at St Tiernach’s Park in Clones on Saturday evening, playing a key role as Donegal edged out Armagh after extra time in a thrilling contest.

He’s up against Louth’s Sam Mulroy and Westmeath’s Luke Loughlin for the weekly honour.
Fans can vote by liking the players’ images on the GAA’s official Instagram account. Voting closes at 10am on Tuesday, May 13, with the winner to be revealed shortly after on GAA.ie.
Murphy also earned a spot on the Team of the Week, where he's joined by teammates Oisin Gallen, Ciaran Thompson, Ciaran Moore and Peader Mogan.
