Three Donegal men were named in the GAA.ie Team of the Week for their performance in the loss to Tyrone.
Michael Langan, Michael Murphy, and Brendan McCole were all standout players for Jim McGuinness’ side on Saturday, despite the 2-17 to 0-20 defeat to Tyron,e and were given a place in the team.
St Michael’s man Langan was the best player on the pitch in MacCumhaill Park and kicked seven points from play, one coming from outside the arc as he did his best to get his side back into the game.
Murphy was part of a lot of bright Donegal moves forward, but his ability from set pieces was what made him stand out as he racked up eight points from placed balls, including three frees from outside the arc.
St Naul’s man McCole was again tasked with keeping tabs on Tyrone’s most dangerous forward in Darragh Canavan as he followed him across the field, keeping him scoreless from play.
Tyrone’s Darren McCurry, Seanie O’Donnell, Kieran McGeary, and Peter Teague all made the team for their role in the win for the Red Hands.
