St Eunan’s 0-19
Sean MacCumhaills 2-8
St Eunan’s put in a good display to stretch away from Sean MacCumhaills in the second half in this Division 1 encounter in O’Donnell Park.
It was point for point in the early stages at 0-4 apiece but the Black and Amber went well ahead with Conor O’Donnell Jnr having a good impact, as well as Eoin McGeehin and Padraig McGettigan as they went four clear.
But there was just a point in it at half-time when Kevin McCormack hit the net to make it 0-9 to 1-5.
McCormack did similarly after the restart as he had another green flag raised while MacCumhaills had points from the forward, a two pointer from Sean Martin, and Conor McGinty also got in on the scoring.
The Twin-Towns men only hit two points in the final 25 minutes however, as the hosts went clear with O’Donnell Jnr and substitute Philip Doherty adding points.
The win keeps St Eunan's in fourth place in the table, although it looks unlikely that they will be able to make the top two and reach the final, while MacCumhaills are comfortably mid-table ahead of their final league game with Buncrana.
