L-R: Club Treasurer Declan O’Brien, assistant manager Gary McClafferty, Club Chairman Philip Buchanan and manager Danny McBride.
Cranford United have appointed Danny McBride as manager ahead of the 2025/26 season.
McBride, who played four times for the Sunday side last season in Division 1 as they were relegated to the third, replaces Chris Carr, who acted as player-manager for the last two seasons.
McBride was player-manager when the club last got promoted from Division 2 three seasons ago and will have Gary McClafferty as his assistant.
The club took to social media to announce the return of the manager, saying: “Danny is no stranger to the club, having played with distinction for many years and already enjoyed a previous spell in the managerial hot seat. We’re thrilled to welcome him back in this new role.

“Joining Danny is Gary McClafferty, who will serve as his assistant manager. The club has full confidence in the new management team, and we’re excited to see what this new chapter brings.
“We wish Danny, Gary, and the entire Sunday squad the very best of luck for the season ahead!”
