3: Trust the process, sure, but the individual has to make the right decision as well

Too often on Sunday Donegal made some rash decisions on the ball and on most of those occasions Kerry took full advantage. Caolan McColgan was caught with a careless offload in the first half, Daire Ó Baoill took the wrong decision nearing the break at 0-15 to 0-10. Even skipper Patrick McBrearty not going down on a ball along the line, Michael Murphy and Ryan McHugh getting their wires crossed - it all added up. And when it became apparent that Donegal were being cleaned out around the middle on kickouts, there was no effort to switch it up. It’s easy to look at all of that with the benefit of hindsight, and Sunday felt like a day when whatever could go wrong did.
