Packed crowds for Darts Fest 2025 and Brendan Dolan's Letterkenny exhibition

Brendan Dolan was in Letterkenny on Friday night as part of an exhibition event

Darts fever recently gripped Letterkenny as the Premier Darts Club played host to a thrilling Darts Fest 2025, culminating in a sold-out Exhibition Night with none other than Brendan “The History Maker” Dolan, the local PDC legend.

The festival showcased talent across all levels of the game, with plenty of drama on the oche and an electric atmosphere throughout.

In the Ladies Open, sponsored by Century Complex, Letterkenny, it was Rachael McGlinchey who claimed the honours, showing her class with a composed run to the title.

The youth competition also shone a spotlight on emerging talent. The Brian McCormick Youth Cup, sponsored by Brian McCormick Sports and Leisure alongside Player Profile, was won by Jack Porter, underlining his growing reputation.

Jack enjoyed a remarkable weekend overall - teaming up with Shane Porter to win the Doubles Competition (sponsored by New Kid Coffee) before going on to cap it all off with victory in the Main Open Tournament, where he overcame Pajo Rafferty in a gripping final.

While the competitions provided plenty of talking points, the weekend’s showpiece came on Friday night, when Brendan “The History Maker” Dolan, a true PDC legend, stepped up to the oche for an exhibition that had the Premier Darts Club packed to the rafters. Dolan entertained the crowd with his trademark finishing and good humour, taking on local youth players and giving fans young and old a night to remember.

Organisers hailed the festival as a “huge success for darts in Donegal,” noting the strong turnout and the quality of play on display.

With the combination of community spirit, rising stars, and the presence of a world-class professional in Dolan, the Premier Darts Club firmly cemented itself as the heartbeat of darts in the North West.

Special thanks were extended to the dignitaries and sponsors whose support made the weekend possible - including Century Complex, Brian McCormick Sports and Leisure, Player Profile, New Kid Coffee, PGIM Ireland, Watson Hire, and O’Hara & Harrison Electrical Contractors - as well as to all those who helped bring such a successful event together.

Plans are already in place for next year’s Darts Fest - and if this event is anything to go by, it promises to be even bigger and better.
