Naomh Padraig goalkeeper Jonjo Lynch makes a point blank save during the Gary McLaughlin/Darren Downey Memorial Cup Inishowen U16 final
Moville 1-10
Naomh Pádraig Uisce Chaoin 1-5
Moville won the Inishowen U16A champoinship at windswept Hibernian Park on Saturday evening with a five point victory over neighbours Naomh Pádraig Uisce Chaoin.
Playing against the wind, Moville got off to the best possible start in the opening minute when a sliding challenge on Mick McDermott in the big square saw a penalty kick awarded, and Lughaidh McCool expertly finished the spot kick to the net.
Muff responded with a point from Mark Doherty, but despite having a gale on their back they found it hard to create good scoring chances against a well organised Moville defence who turned them over time and again.
Man of the match Daragh O'Hare hit two points for Moville against the wind, while Michael McColgan landed one for Muff at the other end and Moville led by a goal at half time, 1-2 to 0-2.

The clubhouse goals are the scoring goals at Burt, and within 60 seconds of the restart Muff had the ball in the net after Rueben Devenney powered through and finished low past Matthew Doherty.
And when Michael McColgan fired over a point, Naomh Pádraig had got their noses in front for the first time in the final.
But their lead was short-lived. Daragh O'Hare drew Moville level by the 36th minute, and two frees on either side of a point from play from McCool had last year's U16B champions 1-6 to 1-3 ahead.
Muff were defending well, though, and kept themselves in touch with a Cillian Lynch point midway through the half.
Moville finished the game strongly. O'Hare's strong running drew a series of frees, with the centre half forward picking himself up to hit a two point free with ten to go and followed that up with another free shortly after.
And the busy Mick McDermott hit one just before the end.
Muff kept plugging away, but remained just out of reach and a late free from Cillian Lynch was a consolation score just before the full time whistle sounded.
For Moville, it was a second piece of U16 silverware in four weeks: they defeated St Eunan's in the County Division 1 Cup shield final in early September.
