Cillian Bonner’s fine form for North Greenville University continued at the weekend, even if the Trailblazers did end up on the wrong side of a 35-24 loss to Valdosta State.

It was the last non-conference game of the season and with North Greenville right in the mix to make the Carolina conference decider, they go into their last two outings with all to play for.

Cillian’s 1992 All-Ireland-winning dad, Declan, was also present to see his son boot a superb 45-yard field goal.

Bonner, of course, takes up the Fermanagh senior football manager’s bib in the coming weeks, after again helping lead Erne Gaels to another Erne SFC club title.

North Greenville can clinch the Conference Carolinas number 1 seed with a win over Ferrum next weekend in Tigerville.
