Cillian Bonner lines up a field goal for North Greenville on Sunday
Cillian Bonner was again to the fore for North Greenville as they recorded a dominant 27–0 win over Ferrum to qualify for the Carolinas Conference final.
The Leitirmacaward native lobbed over two field goals in the first-half to set up that regional decider against UNC Pembroke on November 15.
All of the scoring came before the interval, as North Greenville built a 10-point lead in the opening quarter and added 17 more in the second.
Bonner was on target with those two field goals, contributing steadily alongside three touchdowns from Reggion Bennett, Deshawn Tompkins, and Elijah Crockett.
The Trailblazers’ ground game proved too strong for Ferrum, producing 289 rushing yards and 418 yards of total offense. Kimon O’Sullivan led the way with 108 yards on 17 carries, while Bennett added 65.
At the other end, North Greenville’s defence restricted Ferrum to just 131 total yards, allowing only 37 on the ground.
The unit also came up with two interceptions and a fumble recovery, ensuring the clean sheet. Bradley Russ-Martin topped the tackle count with six, and RJ Glasgow added five and one for a loss.
