The Donegal LGFA held their Annual Awards night in Jackson’s Hotel on Friday night.
Presentations were made for Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year for the Donegal Senior, Minor and Under-16 teams, while Players of the Championship were also awarded.
LGFA President Trina Murray was in attendance, as was Ulster LGFA President Gerry Doherty.
James Daly’s senior side were beaten by Armagh in this year’s Ulster senior final and later endured a difficult All-Ireland series, ultimately holding on to their senior status after a relegation playoff victory over Leitrim, while they will compete again in Division 2 of the league.
The county did have success at Under-16 level, as they won the All-Ireland ‘C’ Championship.
At club level, Glenfin took a first senior title in four years, while Gaeil Fhánada, Naomh Columba and St Michael’s all moved up a tier with their wins in the Intermediate, Junior A and Junior B finals respectively.
