The Donegal LGFA has confirmed its 2026 Executive following recent AGM

The Donegal Ladies Gaelic Football Association has confirmed its Executive team for 2026 after a successful Annual General Meeting held at the Villa Rose Hotel in Ballybofey.

The newly elected Executive for the year ahead includes Chairperson Joanne McKinney, Vice Chairperson Seamus Herron, Secretary Declan Callaghan and Assistant Secretary Catriona Sweeney. 

The financial roles will be overseen by Treasurer Declan McDermott and Assistant Treasurer Marie McColgan, while Tara Walsh will serve as Registrar. 

The PRO team consists of PRO Danielle Loughery and Assistant PRO Leah McDowell. The positions of Development Chair and Children’s Officer will be appointed by the Executive in due course, and Caroline Brady has been confirmed as Cultural Officer.

Delegates to the Ulster Council for 2026 are Michelle McKenna, Vinny McConnell and player representative Siobhan Kelly. 

The same player representative, Siobhan Kelly, will also sit on the Central Council alongside Michelle McKenna and Hugh Devenney. Donegal’s Congress delegates for the coming year will be Tara Walsh, Joanne McKinney and Siobhan Kelly.

Committee structures for 2026 have also been outlined. The Hearings and Appeals Committee will remain unchanged. 

The Fixtures Committee will be chaired by Vinney McConnell and supported by Catriona Sweeney, Roisin Friel, Samantha Mahon, Dessie McNamara and Paul Gillespie. 

The GoGames Fixtures Committee continues as previously established, with additional members included for the coming season, and will feature the involvement of Tara Walsh and Aoife O’Hare.

Donegal LGFA has extended its best wishes to all members of the 2026 Executive, delegates and committees, expressing confidence in their leadership and commitment as they prepare for the year ahead.
