Fr Tierney Park, Ballyshannon
Fr Tierney Park is set to host two All-Ireland Club Championship semi-finals over the next few weeks.
On Saturday next the Ballyshannon pitch is the venue for the All-Ireland Junior Hurling Club Championship semi-final when Donegal side Burt take on Easkey from Co Sligo with throw-in at 1 pm.
Burt were victorious in the quarter-final recently, overcoming London side Tomas Mac Curtains by 1-15 to 0-17, and they are now eyeing an All-Ireland final appearance, which would be a first for the Donegal club.
Meanwhile, the Fr Tierney Park, Ballyshannon will also be the venue for the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Championship semi-final between Ulster champions, Glenullin of Derry and Strokestown of Roscommon, who are the Connacht champions.
That game is fixed for Saturday, 3rd January with a 12.30 p.m. throw-in. Glenullin have former Derry great Eoin Bradley in their ranks and this game should be attractive to Donegal neutrals. It comes just a day before Donegal seniors resume their intercounty activities for 2026 with a Dr McKenna Cup game at home to Derry in O’Donnell Park, Letterkenny.
