Logan Melly
St Columba’s Comprehensive, Glenties student Logan Melly has been named as the Ulster Schools Player of the Month for November.
Playing centre forward for his school, Melly was nominated as an outstanding athlete with great fielding and skillset in the U16.5 Danske Bank Pat King competition, of which they are in the semi-final.
A Na Rossa clubman, Melly was part of the Naomh Conaill minor team that reached the county semi-finals this year, losing out to Four Masters.
Last year, Melly captained the Donegal Under-15s against Derry in Convoy, and played for the county Under-16s this year.

He was also part of the panel this year for South West Donegal, coming on as a sub in their final group game against St Michael’s Enniskillen at the beginning of the month, although they were knocked out of the competition last week by St Patrick’s Academy, Dungannon.
Ulster Schools GAA recognises the achievements of a young player every month from across the spectrum of ongoing games and competitions.
