Two more Donegal coaches, Maxi Curran and John McNulty, are on the move and will guide the fortunes of club teams in the six counties in 2026.

The much-travelled Maxi Curran is the new man in charge of Derry senior club Loup for the upcoming season.

Last Sunday, Curran was manager of Antrim Ladies club Moneyglass, who were beaten by Galway champions Kilerrin-Clonbeirne, in the LGFA All-Ireland Club Senior Football Championship final, in Croke Park.

And Kilcar clubman John McNulty is the new man handed the responsibility of guiding the fortunes of Fermanagh club Devenish for 2026.

Curran, a former Donegal LGFA manager who managed his home club Downings for the last two seasons, has an impressive and varied CV.

He coached St Eunans to a Donegal Senior Championship and the Donegal Ladies to an All-Ireland Junior Championship in 2003, and Ulster LGFA senior championship successes.

The Downings native has worked with a number of clubs in Tyrone and Monaghan in recent years.

He was also a member of Jim McGuinness’s backroom team in the 2012 All-Ireland winning team.

And Kilcar clubman John McNulty, also a former Donegal LGFA manager, is back in management after a number of years away from the game.

He will make his return with Fermanagh club Devenish, who unveiled the Kilcar man as their manager for 2026, in recent weeks.

Like Curran, he brings a wealth of experience and enjoyed great success with his home club Kilcar at underage and reserve football, and managed Kilcar to a senior championship final.

McNulty also managed St Nauls to Intermediate Championship glory. His most recent club job was with Aodh Ruadh, Ballyshannon.

He has also named 2012 All-Ireland winner David Walsh and Aodh Ruadh top scoring forward Diarmaid McInerney, in his management team.

Curran and McNulty join a growing list of Donegal coaches taking on management jobs in the six counties.

Former Naomh Pádraig, Uisce Chaoin manager Daniel McCauley and his number two Dougie Corbett are the new management team for Faughanvale, in Derry, for the year ahead.

And former Donegal Under-21 manager and most recently Buncrana manager, Gary Duffy, is the new man calling the shots at Claudy, John Mitchels, also in the Oak Leaf county.
