Realt Na Mara GAA announces major development plans for Gaelic Park

Realt Na Mara GAA has announced that long-awaited development works at the club grounds are set to begin in early 2026, marking a significant milestone for the growing club.

Club officials have thanked members and the wider community for their patience and continued support while plans were developed behind the scenes.

The first phase of the project will focus on the pitch fencing area, with a contractor close to being finalised. This work is being fast-tracked to ensure the grounds are safe and ready for teams ahead of the upcoming league campaign.

To celebrate the progress and bring the community together, the Bundoran club is hosting a festive Christmas Challenge match on Sunday, December 28th at 1pm.

The game will see the Men’s Over 35s take on the Men’s 18s+ in what promises to be an entertaining clash of youth versus experience.

Past players, current members, and newcomers are all encouraged to attend, with families and supporters welcome for a community day at the grounds.

Further details on the development plans will be shared following the match, giving members a chance to see the club’s vision for the future.

Club representatives say the new facilities are being built with the next generation in mind and have praised the dedication of volunteers, donors, and supporters who have made the project possible.
