5: Some of the observations after last season centred in on Donegal needing to employ a traditional man-marker or two either side of Brendan McCole. Breaking from the back, the likes of Caolan McColgan and Peadar Mogan offered Donegal so much. But on the back foot, Donegal often looked vulnerable. And while it was a very experimental line-up against Antrim, McGuinness did go with Mark Curran and Ultan Doherty at 2 and 4 last Sunday. So it will be interesting to see if he is indeed moving towards a different approach or not as the season begins to pick up pace from here on in.
