Clg Realt na Mara have announced the appointment of Fergal O'Flaherty as their Senior Team Manager for the 2026 season.

O'Flaherty, who captained his native Bunninadden to a Sligo SFC title back in 2000 and has since made Carney his home, took over Drumcliffe Rosses Point at a time when we were struggling to remain in senior football.

He guided them to five senior championship semi-finals during his tenure, with the highlight being the club's first-ever senior championship final appearance in 2020.

He also guided the north Sligo outfit to Division 1 of the football league and was joint-manager of our U19 county champions in 2023.

"A highly respected teacher in our local Magh Ene College, we would like to wish Fergal all the best for the season ahead," Realt na Mara CLG posted.

Bundoran reached the last eight of the Donegal IFC last season, before losing out 2-8 to 1-9 against Red Hughs, in what was then manager Niall Dunne's second term at the helm.
