Conor O’Donnell has been named in the GAA.ie Football Team of the Week after Sunday’s 1-17 to 0-20 draw with Galway in Fr Tierney Park
The Carndonagh man hit 1-2, including a super solo goal as he won Gavin Mulreany’s kick out and ran from near the halfway line, before finding the net with his weak foot.
O’Donnell is in the team for the second time this year, after being nominated for Footballer of the Week for his 1-3 in the win over Mayo in Letterkenny.
The 2025 All-Star nominee is Donegal’s top goalscorer in the National Football League Division 1 campaign so far, with a tally of 3-11 after five games, just ahead of Michael Langan, who has 0-16 to his name.

O’Donnell hit two points in the Dr. McKenna Cup and is also the top scorer in 2026 for Donegal, with goalkeeper Gavin Mulreany second in the list with 0-19.
Galway forward Oisin Mac Donnacha is up for Footballer of the Week after he hit 0-7 against Jim McGuinness’ men, along with Mayo’s Sam Callinan and Sean Bugler of Dublin.
