Jim McGuinness’ side finished top outright, in Division 1, thanks to their 3-20 to 3-16 win over Monaghan in Clones.
Donegal took 11 points from their seven outings, with a win record of five, a draw and a loss.
Kerry’s draw with Armagh in the Athletic Grounds was enough for Jack O’Connor’s All-Ireland champions to squeeze through on score difference despite being locked on ten points each with Mayo.
Sunday’s top-flight showpiece will be broadcast live on TG4.
