Dungloe's Conor O'Donnell in possession against Kilcar Photo Mary Bonner Rodgers
Dungloe 0-15
Kilcar 1-12
Shaun McGee hit a late two-point score as Dungloe marked their return to the top flight of the Donegal ACFL to share the league points with Kilcar at a windy Rosses Park, on Saturday afternoon.
It was the proverbial game of two halves, prompted by a strong wind that blew up Rosses Park. The locals, under new manager Noel McBride, found themselves with a mountain to climb at half-time after a swashbuckling Kilcar performance, who had the advantage of the elements in the opening 30 minutes, and led by 1-10 to 0-5.
Goalkeeper Danny Rodgers, with four points from two-point frees, was Dungloe’s top scorer, while Daire Gallagher, Conor Greene, Oisin Bonner, Cianan McDaid, and Danny McCready all also kicked points for the locals.
Matthew McClean marked a good individual performance with six points for a new-look Kilcar, who were without Ryan, Mark, and Eoin McHugh and Patrick McBrearty.
