Glenfin put in a storming second-half performance to come from behind and defeat St Michael’s in Páirc Taoibhoge on Saturday.

The visitors came out of the blocks quickly through Kyle McGarvey and eventually went seven clear before Luke McGlynn coolly dispatched a penalty, although they still trailed by four at the break.

But second-half goals from Daniel Marley and Odhran O’Connor put them into the driving seat coming into the final ten minutes and they saw out the victory.

Marley got things going for the hosts with a point, but McGarvey’s goal soon followed along with a two-point effort from Colin McFadden.

Daniel McGlynn’s two-pointer, along with scores from Shaun Ward and Jack Long levelled the game, but Daniel McLaughlin was on shooting form from outside the arc.

He raised the orange flag twice, while Liam Paul Ferry and Carlos O’Reilly hit single points before the penalty from Luke McGlynn.

McGlynn added a point after the restart, and they went ahead as Marley beat Mark Anthony McGinley with a minute gone in the second half.

Shaun Ward and McGlynn were again on target, and O’Connor’s strike that found the back of the net had them really in the ascendancy.

And despite four second-half points from McLaughlin, along with one from Eddie O’Reilly, Glenfin scores from Karl McGlynn, Seaghan McCormick, and Luke McGlynn kept them ahead as they claimed the win.
