Heavy rainfall could mean games become affected closer to throw-in time this evening
All-County League fixtures down for consideration this evening are still scheduled to go ahead, DonegalLive has been told.
A status Yellow wind warning came into force for the country at 1pm, with Storm Dave set to sweep through Ireland.
However, a spokesperson for the Donegal GAA Central Competitions Control Committee (CCC) says that at this moment, while some senior B games have been postponed, all senior A games still have the green light.
But the same spokesperson did err on the side of caution, explaining that the heavy rainfall could yet impact some fixtures.
“At the moment, all senior games are going ahead. The weather provision allows for cancellations if the orange weather warning is issued.
“So we’re going to try to get going with as many fixtures as possible. However, with the rain, and even snow in some parts, falling at the moment, waterlogged pitches could be an issue later in the afternoon. At the moment, some reserve games have been rearranged”.
