Letterkenny Gaels chalked up another encouraging Division 3 league win with victory over Naomh Ultan at a blustery Páirc na nGael in Letterkenny on Sunday afternoon.

The locals played with the aid of a strong wind and set out their stall from the off, leading 0-9 to 0-1 at half-time.

Ronan Frain hit six points, with Cathal Doherty adding two and one from Matthew Winters, as the Gaels dominated the opening period. Cian Kennedy registered Naomh Ultan’s sole point of the first half.

The Naomh Ultan sharpshooter added four more points after the break, while Jonathan Bach chipped in with two, as the Dunkineely men trimmed the home lead to three.

However, a late Jack Keys goal ensured the two precious league points stayed at Páirc na nGael. Callum McGilloway added the Gaels’ only point of the second half.
