MacCumhaills claimed victory over Dungloe in Division 1 of the All-County League after a hard-fought and closely contested encounter in Lifford.

The Twin Towns started brightly, with Jamie Keegan opening the scoring from a free before Karl Magee added a fine point from play for Dungloe.

Aaron Kelly and Keegan swapped overs, Conor Greene struck for a Dungloe goal while Tomas McNulty also netted down the other side before Damien Deveney’s team eventually went in 1-5 to 1-3 up at the break. 

Keegan remained a thorn in the visitors’ side in the second-half while Ruairi Callaghan, Kelly, McNulty and Fintan Griffin kept the scoreboard ticking over on a regular occurrence. 

Oisin Bonner and Matthew Ward raised two further green flags for Dungloe but it was the ‘hosts’ that got over the line.
